A bit about myself....

As a child, I was very fond of a prehistoric 120-format Agfa click 3 camera owned by my uncle.  Every time we went out for a vacation, my uncle used to carry that magic lantern with him.  As a little boy, I was never allowed to touch the camera and that only instigated my curiosity about the machine.  God knows from where I got the idea that there is someone who lives inside a camera and creates the plants, hills, sunsets and human beings who always smile.  Years later and much before I started freelance photography, the myth of a man who lives inside a camera was exposed, but the fantasy and magic that revolves around photography still lingers on...

I’m now in the field of photography for the last 15 years; and presently working as a freelance media photographer in Mumbai.  I regularly participate in all major National and International photographic exhibitions and competitions and have received various national and international awards and accolades for my work.

I’ve hitherto participated in a bevy of exhibitions around the world; be it at Spain , the Caribbean islands, Philippines , Austria and Germany etc apart from many cities across India .

" Vignette" from Italy

Italy was everything I had thought the country would be, and much more. From the seagull specked blue water that washes the harbour of Trieste to the confluence of Italian and German cultures at Bolzano, from the waterways of Venice (that I have seen on celluloid and read about since childhood) to the quaint lanes, the friendly folk and the stunning views of the Adriatic from Termoli (a place I had never heard of before my visit), Italy is a country to which even picture postcards cannot do justice. And it's not only about the senses being overwhelmed. The visit also confirmed my views on the country's invaluable contribution to the pursuit of knowledge both in the sciences and the arts through the Renaissance.

Coca-Cola Cricket Cup’s Vision

BCCI over the past several years has done a tremendous job of enhancing the growth of cricket in India. They have done so by adopting a result oriented approach of organising age group tournaments all over the country through their state associations.

This has helped immensely in carving out talented individuals on a regular basis. Most of these cricketers have moved ahead and have brought laurels for their states and the country.

Seeing the vast potential and growing popularity of this game, Coca-Cola India has a vision of facilitating BCCI in their quest to tap talent. We believe that the future of Indian cricket lies in these young talented budding cricketers. We intend to provide a perfect opportunity and platform to all the youngsters across the country to showcase their talent, skill and equally important, pride and loyalty to their school. It gives BCCI and their affiliated state units a brilliant arena to scout for potential match winners.

We hope that this initiative will serve as an ideal platform to identify and nurture young talented cricketers for them to be able to get noticed by the state associations and BCCI to represent the country on an International level.
