Protection of Dilapidated Monuments:

Conservation of Monuments under the Archaeological Survey of India is an ongoing process, so that none of the monuments can be categorised to be in a dilapidated condition. All monuments are, in turn, subjected to conservation work depending upon the need for such work and the total available resources.

For the current financial year an amount of Rs. 131.25 Crore has been allocated for conservation, preservation and environmental development of the protected monuments.
