In a joint statement, the ministers said they uphold freedom of navigation and over flight in the East and South China Seas.
They said countries should refrain from actions that could increase tensions and should clarify claims in accordance with international law.
The US and Australian ministers also expressed their support for Japan’s recent efforts to re-examine the right to collective self-defense and the country’s Constitution.

Onodera, Hagel discuss maritime

1062014
The defense chiefs of Japan and the United States say they cannot accept any unilateral change of the status quo in the East and South China Seas. The agreement came during a meeting between Japan’s Defense Minister Itsunori Onodera and US Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel in Singapore on Saturday. Both discussed rising tensions in the East and South china Seas due to increased maritime activities by China. Onodera explained recent instances of Chinese fighter jets flying too close to Japanese Self-Defense Force aircraft over the East China Sea.
Onodera  briefed Hagel on discussions in Japan on changing the government’s traditional interpretation of the Constitution to allow the country to exercise the right to collective self-defense.Hagel welcomed and expressed support for the Japanese effort.
They confirmed that they will promote work to revise the Japan-US outline of defense cooperation guidelines by the end of the year.
They agreed to work together to steadily promote the construction of a facility to replace the US Futenma Marine Corps Air Station in Okinawa. They also agreed to reduce the burden on Okinawa communities that host US military facilities, including transferring a number of training flights of Osprey transport aircraft to outside Okinawa.Onodera later told reporters that he and Hagel agreed on the importance of resolving issues based on the rule of law and dialogue. He said he wants China to feel that the international community sees it that way. China’s national legislature has criticized Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe for saying that China is threatening Japan’s security.

China’s national legislature has criticized Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe for saying that China is threatening Japan’s security.
Fu Ying spoke at a panel discussion in Singapore organized by a Hong Kong TV station on Friday, prior to the Asia Security Summit.
She also said Abe is denying aspects of history. That’s an apparent reference to the prime minister’s visit to Yasukuni Shrine last year. The shrine honors Japan’s war dead and includes former leaders convicted of war crimes after World War Two.
Last year, Fu described Japan’s nationalization of the Senkaku Islands in the East China Sea as a provocation that justified China’s increased activities in waters near the islands.

VISHNU PRASAD WINS JK RACING INDIA SERIES

EDITPUBLISHED JUNE 1, 2014 BY NARESH KUMAR SAGAR

Twenty-year-old Vishnu Prasad, proved once again why he is hailed as the Indian driver to watch out for, by stamping his class on the 1st round of the JK Racing India Series, featuring the powerful FB02 cars, powered by the 1.2 litre BMW bike engine, and run under the tutelage of world’s elitist racing outfit- Team Euro International owned by Mr. Antonio Ferrari,

Starting the race in pole position, at the Kari Speed Motorway in the feature race of the JK Tyre Racing Championship 2014 on Saturday, Vishnu left in his wake FIA ‘Young Driver’ winner Akhil Rabindra and Nayan Chatterjee to take the chequered flag of the 15-lap race in a total time of 16:44.861. Akhil finished 11.846 seconds behind in 16.56.707, while Nayan Chetterjee, making his debut in this class, finished a creditable third, clocking 16:59.429, 14.568 seconds behind the winners.

The Volkswagen Polo R Cup also had its share of excitement and thrills, with two crashes in the first lap forcing a restart. There was more drama in store as the provisional winner, Karminder Pal Singh, was penalized 30 seconds by the stewards for overtaking under the yellow flag and ultimately slipped down to 9th position.
Angad Singh Matharoo emerged winner of the 15-lap race in a time 19:27.254, followed by Anshul Manoj Shah iin 19:29.572 and Lee Keshav Gupta in 2.941.

In the first race of the day, featuring the Formula LGB4 single-seaters, Diljith T Shaji of Dark Don Racing emerge winner in 18:38.073, followed by teammate Sudarshan Rao in 18.45.147 and Meco Racing’s Rahul Rangaswamy in 18:55.203.

Vishnu had made his intentions clear in the qualifying round held earlier in the day, focused to the hilt in realizing his plans to finish on the top of the grid with the best with the best lap time of 1min 05.096 seconds and best speed of 116.136 kms.

He continued in the same vein in the main race, clocking his fastest lap time of 1:05.693 and reaching the top speed of 115.367 kms.
The VolkswWagen  Polo R-cup event, which is in its fifth year in succession, witnessed strong tussles amongst the top three drivers, who started at top three pole positions.  Before completing the very first lap, Karthik Tharani of Chennai, Lee Keshav Gupta of Delhi and Ansul Manoj Shah Maharashtra were involved in an accident and the race was forced to be restarted.
None of the three could come under the start lights in the re-started event but Ansul and Lee Keshav, who went to the pits rejoined the race (from pit start) and claimed podium finishes.
In the Formula LGB 4 event, Kerala’s Diljith Shaji was in his elements as usual and was unbeatable in both the qualifying and the main race.  In fact, in the last three laps, Diljith was brilliant while forging ahead of his rivals and, in fact, the seasoned and more experienced Sudarshan Rao of Karnataka, a pilot by profession, failed to make any dent to the chances of the leader.

The second round of the JK Tyre Racing Championship 2014 will be held at the Kari Speed Motorway on July 12 and 13.

Driver’s Quotes:
Vishnu Prasad “It was definitely a good race and everything went pretty good during practice as well. It was a close race between me Akhil (Rabindra) and Nayan (Chatterjee). Nayan has done well considering that it is his first year and as the weekend goes along, tomorrow is going to be more tougher for me,” said Vishnu with a note of caution.
Diljith Shaji “I was pretty confident of racing well and winning the race,” an overconfident Diljith told media persons at the post race conference.
The Kerala driver also sounded optimistic about the next race on Sunday. “The win has given me the perfect boost and I’m all the more confident of winning the next race,” he said with a smile.

DID MEDIA SWING 2014 ELECTION RESULTS? MEDIA FOOD VS GARBAGE

Did Media Swing 2014 Election Results? Media Food vs Garbage
June01, 2014
BJP brilliantly managed media, with Corporate Funding & Support was
not in doubt but what made the difference was BJP served food for
Media while AAP in election mode and congenitally INC served garbage.
BJP would react to any news within 15 minutes as if there were some
insiders providing advance alerts and 5-6 BJP spokespersons would
strongly rebut the charges in synchronization, INC even in matters of
grave charges or adverse news against BJP would react in 1-2 days.
Even after hours INC spokespersons were confusedly and unconfidently
singing in different tunes.
BJP hired Hindi Speaking UP-Bihar based Media & Advertising
Professionals – INC engaged English speaking foreign origin half baked
professionals who didn’t understand local language, culture and
economy. Raj Kumar Jha explained how BJP publicity material was
modified to match sub regional variations in languages. INC on the
other hand failed to even respond in acute drought situations in
Gujarat when 50% Gujarat population in rural and urban area was
suffering from water shortages and crop failures.
INC Completely failed in battle ground states UP & Bihar that returned
101 BJP+ Members of Parliament to INC just 4.
INC had in fact appointed SILENCERS in Deepak Amin & RV Ramani who
were controlling Spokespersons who were generally Ministers, MPs or
Senior Most Leaders.
AAP too was quick but as new entrant in politics couldn’t claim to
have done anything big for India didn’t make promises to voters who
wanted solutions to their problems, improved income and development
couldn’t go beyond their trade mark ‘Anti Corruption USP’ – even their
15 minute speeches were same all over India can’t expect media to
cover all their events.
We expect media to broadcast research based stories which it didn’t,
but we didn’t expect ruling INC to fail to provide Accurate
Information to the media.
In Multiparty Indian Democracy alliances with like Minded Parties Play
a Crucial Role. INC didn’t align its campaign with like minded parties
often Attacked them viciously worse than Prime Opposition.
When a lot of public data was generated on daily, daily, weekly,
fortnightly, monthly, quarterly, half yearly and yearly basis but most
of the important economic data was ‘Not Presented in Ready to Use
Format Even in Annual Reports’ and on top of that were compiled in
large difficult to down load files that too were ‘Encrypted’ or
readers and researchers can’t lift text or tables.
UPA-I & II attracted $230b FDI nearly Rs. 10 lakh crores or roughly
$2b every monthly – why couldn’t INC tell Indians about FDI stories on
weekly basis. $1b Nano Project of Gujarat was in news for years. GOI
$230b FDI made no news. There was news of Nano for years even as Nano
production has stopped for 2-3 years, currently assembles imported
Jaguar Rand Rover cars.
INC friendly Media and Supporters couldn’t readily use information to
its advantage.
Even the annual report of GOI performance was released covering A-Z in
just 50-60 pages through PMO.
Social Media interaction of INC was pathetic with only Digvijay Singh
tweeting non serious matters non seriously. BJP was connecting with
Young voters through Social Media, hired young staff who understood
the response to each of its messaging and stories.
When issues of Cheap Land for Corporate was in news BJP media managers
planted stories of ‘Scores of Farmers Becoming Crorepatis Overnight in
a village’ that was actually located within a kilometer of Railway
Line, National Highway and Narmada Mainline Canal not far from state
capital – this story was planted in newspapers all over India, more
than once.
Lets admit Media plays important role – No one can win elections
without effective Media Management.
