Money Doesn’t Come Before Commitments!

Ek baar joh Isha ne commitment kardi, toh kardi! She is not someone who turns away from her commitments no matter what. Recently the gorgeous actress was offered a very lucrative offer which would have tempted anyone but given the actress had commitments down south….
Isha was recently offered an extremely tempting offer by a Marathi Television channel wherein the gorgeous mulgi was supposed to be judging a dance show, but given Isha is already neck deep in work with her commitments down south there was no way that she could have considered the offer, even if the offer was a whooping Rs. 80lacs!!!
“There is only this much that one can do, Isha has two films down south and she is one of the most committed actors ever, she refused to even consider the offer that was made, because her film commitments would not have allowed her to give the kind of hours that the reality show would need, so she promptly excused herself,” quipped our source.

Read the statement by Admiral L. Ramdas after he heard the news of his removal.
March 29, 2015
New Delhi, India
It is with great surprise and sadness that I heard today from a reporter that the Aam Aadmi Party no longer requires my services as it’s internal Lokpal. Various media reports have subsequently confirmed this news. I am disappointed that the leadership of the party did not accord me the courtesy of informing me first before making this decision public. I still await their phone-call.
I am surprised because less than two weeks ago the party publicly reaffirmed its confidence in me. At no point in my tenure did the party express to me any dissatisfaction with my service. Neither did its leaders question my neutrality or my objectivity in this position. As recently as January 2015, I was asked to investigate complaints against potential electoral candidates. I took it as a sign of the party’s confidence in me when on February 15th, at an informal meeting at the home of Mr Kejriwal, in the presence of many other senior leaders of the party, including members of the executive committee, I was actually requested to consider serving an additional five years as Lokpal.
I am, however, more sad than surprised. It was with a sense of excitement and hope that I became part of this movement to bring a new kind of politics to India. I believed in the ideals of transparency, accountability and fairness that was encapsulated in the institution of the Lokpal. And, I was honoured to be the first person to serve in this capacity.
I have tried to discharge my duties and responsibilities to the best of my abilities. My two previous letters, one which became public, the other which was intended to be public, reflected my effort to encourage the various leaders of the party to work together to remember the principles on which it was founded and to make sure that the promises made to the electorate – to the people- were fulfilled. Unfortunately I did not succeed in that effort.
I still hope that the party which has fired the imagination and hopes of so many Indians will be able to fulfill its promises of good governance, both internally and externally, in the exercise of political power in its new capacity as the government of Delhi. I wish them well in this endeavour.

The National Executive (NE) of the Aam Aadmi Party in its meeting held on Sunday, March 29, took the following decisions :
1) Reconstitution of the Lokpal panel :

Rebel AAP leaders Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan hold a meeting with their supporters to discuss their future course of action.

The NE reconstituted the three-member internal Lokpal panel following the completion of the term of the previous panel which was headed by Admiral L Ramdas.
The new Lokpal panel of the Aam Aadmi Party comprises of :
i) N Dilip Kumar (Former IPS officer known for his anti-corruption credentials)
ii) Rakesh Sinha (Former DIG CISF and a high court lawyer)
iii) Dr SP Verma (Educationist)
2) Reconstitution of the national disciplinary committee :
The three-member committee will be headed by Dinesh Waghela and its other members are Pankaj Gupta and Ashish Khetan.
3) To implement the National Council decision of organising a protest outside the Parliament against the central government’s ordinance on land acquisition on April 22, the NE decided to constitute a six-member committee for supervising the preparations for this programme.
The members of the committee are : Ilyas Azmi, Prem Singh Pahari, Yogesh Dahiya, Somendra Dhaka, Gurnam Singh and Kiran Bissa.
4) The NE decided to form a committee to be headed by Sanjay Singh to ascertain the current status of organisation in different states :
The committee has been given 15 days time to prepare a report on the current situation of organisational status in different states. This report will form the basis for the road ahead, including the state of preparation for contesting elections, if any in future.

Seven Adivasi Families including Women Arrested Illegally
Brutal Use of State Power: Standing Crop Crushed
Gujarat govt. with centre’s support committing atrocities on adivasis

At least seven adivasi families are under custody arrested & kept in their own houses by the Gujarat Police & administration, since yesterday. In village Kevadia just 7kms away from the Sardar Sarovar Dam site & already affected by the projects since 1960’s women who were asserting that their agricultural land & houses shouldn’t be grabbed for Bharat Bhavan, without they getting the package of alternative land to the landholder and an amount of Rs.5 lakhs for the each adult major son in the family; were arrested by the police & taken to Tilakwada p.o. about 50kms away. While the women were released after a pressure was created by the crowd gathered at the p.o. & media covering the incidence, the JCB machines were brought to carry on their work, destroying even the standing crops of ‘Tuvar’. Such an unjust, destructive action continued overnight, smashing not just the crop & the land, but hearts of the adivasis who have been fighting for their survival since 1970’s and loss their livelihoods since 1961 itself.
The six villages with Kevadia being one of those, lost their land acquired for the Sardar Sarovar & project colony, at  a meager rate of compensation in 1961 and all the adivasis Bhil (Tadis) families became either landless or left with small chunks of land. The land they lost was used for nine kinds of govt. guest houses, staff quarters, and colony, bazaar as well as tourism centers while some of it has been used for storage of material of the contractors, illegally diverting the purpose of acquisition itself.
When about 300 families, the original landholder’s struggle against the injustice imposed over years, we found that the number of families had gone up to 900 already. Only a few of them could get work at the dam site & other at the project office, mostly as temporary wage earners.       Only the 300 were offered, after struggle a package of Rs. 36,000 in lieu of land. Many of them obviously rejected the same as meager amount, absolutely inadequate for purchasing alternative source of livelihood.
It was in 2013 that the Gujarat govt. taking cognizance of the antagonism to any further acquisition of land amongst the adivasis is the Kevadia region brought out a govt. resolution promising land for land and the above package applicable to the Bharat Bhavan project in Kevadia. However, these families who had already lost more than 100 acres in the 1960’s and 20 acres more for the Bharat Bhavan, were taken to show the land at three to four sites which they could not accept as the same was in dispersed in small pieces. in such a situation when the families where awaiting further offer from the govt. a sudden oppressive move by the administration with police force exposes the lack of political will to rehabilitate the adivasis and intension to grab their land. This model, if not questioned would certainly be applied by the BJP govt. in Gujarat to other private corporate projects planned to be brought into the same area.
It is not shocking but condemnable that the Gujarat govt. with obvious support from the centre is behaving in an utmost unjust manner committing atrocities on adivasis now.
The fight is on and it will continue to, till justice is attained.
We appeal to all sensitive supporters to write to the District Collectors, District Narmada, the Chief Minister of Gujarat as well as the Prime Minister himself.
