Dinesh Kumar leads PGTI final Q Stage 2012


Dinesh Kumar leads after round two of the Final Qualifying Stage



Gurgaon, December 22, 2011: Dinesh Kumar (71-67) of Delhi leads after round two of the PGTI’s Final Qualifying Stage for the 2012 season being held at the Golden Greens Golf & Country Club, Gurgaon. Dinesh’s total reads six under 138.



Abhijit Chadha (71-68) of Chandigarh is in second place at five under 139 while Lucknow’s Manoj Kumar (74-67) is placed third at three under 141.



The cut was declared at 12 over 156. The top 84 players made the cut for the third and final round.



The third round could not be completed on Thursday due to fog. It will be completed on Friday. The event will constitute of only three rounds instead of four as Friday is the last day of the event.



At the end of round four on Friday, the top 44 players will earn full cards for the 2012 PGTI season.

In North Korea , more than five million people have so far turned out to pay their respects to late leader Kim Jong-il, state media say.

The body of Mr Kim is lying in state in the capital Pyongyang as organised public mourning continues in streets and halls around the country.

His son and presumed heir, Kim Jong-un, has publicly led funeral proceedings. State media hailed the new leader as the outstanding leader of their party, army and people. Kim Jong-il died on Saturday of a heart attack caused by overwork and stress at the age of 69. He will be buried on 28 December.
