2010-05-11 03:56:07 - Nksagar: New Delhi- May 10,2010:Tea Research Association of India is organizing a two day International Conference on the theme 'Infini-tea-Ensuring the Future of Tea'at Taj Palace hotel New Delhi on 10th and 11 th May 2010.

Before the Tocklai Centenary Celebration kicked the office bearer called the media for interactive session and answered media question of Tea heath drink to its consumption, demand, supply in domestic market and exports with future research and planting the Tea garden in Northern Himalaya region.

India consumes 1000 million Kg of Tea each year and the production is nearly 1200
Kg and last fiscal the total consumption was in the range of 990 million Kg and exports were 200 Million Kg.India has six major

Tea Auction Centres and all the auction sites are all electronically managed.Eight years have been touch for the industry but from last year onwards Tea Industry has impressive growth.India is famous for Assam and Darjeeling flavors with former being of high intensity and the later of light flavour.

The conference is highly significant as it discuss the key issue of climate change and its impact on the sustainability of tea.Tea Garden are helpful in reducing Carbon contents in the environment hence growing more plantation for dual capping further demand of the country and atmosphere.

The conference envisages is various ongoing and future programs and is best for sharing knowledge the challenges faced by tea Industry.
