Thousands of pilgrims have arrived at Sangam area for Monday's Amavasya
bathing. According to Magh mela officer, about 30 lakh pilgrims have
already arrived at Sangam. Elaborate administrative and security
arrangements have been made for Monday's bathing.
More than 500 night shelters have been arranged for pilgrims at Sangam area. Allahabad correspondent reports from Sangam that 14 companies of PAC, Rapid Action Force, Anti sabotage team and Bomb disposal squad are patrolling Sangam area. CCTV cameras are also installed at various locations for round the clock surveillance. Railways and Road transport departments have arranged special train and bus services for pilgrims.
