AAP Youth Wing Protest
From: Media Cell AAP Sat, 20 Jun ’15 7:03p
Continuing with its demand for BJP leadership to come clean on the Lalit Modi scandal involving External Affairs Minister
Sushma Swaraj and Rajasthan Chief minister Vasundhara Raje, Aam Aadmi Party Youth Wing members today
staged protest in front of the residence of Sushma Swaraj in Delhi today.
“The controversy has exposed the true face of the BJP and the Narendra Modi led government. It is a regime which is of the corrupt for the
black marketers and by the profiteers,” Ankush Narang, Aam Aadmi Party Youth Wing president said while addressing the gathering of around 500 youths and members of the AAP women’s wing.
There is no other way for the Modi government to come clean but to ask its tainted External Affairs Sushma Swaraj and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje to leave office and face the law, Narang added.
“The demonstration which ended peacefully was well attended by people from beyond the party who sought that Narendra Modi government has ditched the expectations of the people by siding with black marketers like Lalit Modi,” Vikas Yogi, spokesperson of the youth wing informed.
The demonstration at Sushma Swaraj’s residence was also attended by AAP women wing President and MLA Bhavna Gaur along with the members of the frontal organization.
Aam Aadmi Party will continue its protest inside and outside the Parliament during the monsoon session if the demand for resignation of the tainted ministers are not met with.

Dear Naresh Kumar Sagar,
When Swaraj Abhiyan was formed, the first task it undertook was to establish a dialogue with volunteers, well-wishers and people from all parts of the country. There was a strong sense of disillusionment and a large chunk of them were contemplating to move away from the resolve to fight for a better India. A Swaraj Samwad was held on April 14 at Gurgaon where an overwhelming number of supporters and volunteers pledged to continue our struggle for Swaraj.
From Gurgaon, Bangalore, Guwahati, Islampur, Kolkata, Ludhiana, Karnal, Ghaziabad, Dehradun, J&K, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Bhubaneshwar, Allahabad, Patna, Varanasi, Pune, Ujjain to Meerut, the journey of Swaraj Samwad – a dialogue on alternative politics – has covered almost every part of the country. There have been 20 such dialogues nationwide. The series of Swaraj Samwad will conclude tomorrow with its last dialogue at Jaipur (Anu Vibha Kendra, Opposite Gourav Tower, JLN Marg, Malviya Nagar, Jaipur), where Swaraj Abhiyan national convenor Prof. Anand Kumar and Yogendra Yadav will meet the volunteers and well-wishers.
In its first phase of the Jai Kisan Andolan, Swaraj Abhiyan has started a mass-contact program with farmers of all parts of the country. The target is to reach out to one lakh villages and establish a direct dialogue with the distressed community. The farmer-volunteers will bring the soil of their farm to Delhi in the second phase of the Jai Kisan Andolan and reach the parliament during its monsoon session.
Swaraj Abhiyan has also submitted its suggestions to the Joint Parliamentary Committee on Land Bill and has been called for a meeting with the committee. A delegation of the Jai Kisan Andolan will meet the 30 member committee on Monday to apprise them of its position and demands.

My remarks on Charleston.
Naresh —
As a mother, a grandmother, and a human being, my heart is bursting for the people of Charleston.
Once again, bodies are being carried out of a black church. Once again, racist rhetoric has metastasized into racist violence.
This is a history we wanted so desperately to leave behind, but we can’t hide from hard truths about race and justice in America. We have to name them, own them, and ultimately change them.
In America today, blacks are nearly three times as likely as whites to be denied a mortgage. Our schools are more segregated than they were in the 1960s. Black children are 500 percent more likely to die from asthma than white kids — how can that be true?
We must address these issues as a nation, and we must also address them as individuals. Cruel jokes can’t go unchallenged, offhand comments about not wanting “those people” in the neighborhood can’t be ignored, and news reports about poverty and crime and discrimination can’t just evoke our sympathy — even empathy — they must also spur us to action and prompt us to question our own assumptions and privilege.
We have to embrace the humanity of those around us, no matter what they look like, how they worship, or who they love. Most of all, we have to teach our children to embrace that humanity, too.
As all of us reeled from the news in Charleston, a friend of mine shared his reflection on the hearts and values of those men and women at Mother Emanuel:
“A dozen people gathered to pray. They’re in their most intimate of communities and a stranger who doesn’t look or dress like them joins in. They don’t judge, they just welcome. During their last hour, nine people of faith welcomed a stranger in prayer and fellowship.”
“I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.”
That’s humanity at its best. That’s America at its best. And that’s the spirit we need to nurture in our lives and our families and our communities.
Thank you,
Hillary
