Mass Protests in Egypt againstc Prez Mursi
Egypt, renewed nationwide
protests erupted across the nation as the President Muhammed Mursi stuck
to his controversial decree granting him sweeping powers with
protesters alleging that the radical leader was fast turning into a
dictator. In the capital Cairo, tens of thousands of people staged a protest against Mursi. Journalists, lawyers and opposition figures including Nobel Peace prize laureate Mohammed ElBaradei joined Tuesday's rally. >Protests also spread to outlying provinces including Alexandria, second-biggest city and central parts of the country. The new demonstrations came a day after Mursi held a
meeting with the nation's top judges to defuse the crisis over the
controversial decree, but the meeting failed to break the impasse as
thousands of people poured onto the streets in a massive show of
defiance.

To the contrary, says Angela Ferrante, director of alternative energy solutions at Energi, a Massachusetts reinsurance company that provides insurance and risk management ... | |||
