Actual collections of Direct & Indirect Tax Revenues in FY 2015-16 is Rs. 14.60 Lakh Crore as against Revised Target (RE) of Rs. 14.55 Lakh crore
Government has achieved the Tax Revenue Targets for FY 2015-16; Actual collections of Direct & Indirect Tax Revenues in FY 2015-16 is Rs. 14.60 Lakh Crore as against Revised Target (RE) of Rs. 14.55 Lakh crore
The aggregate Budget Estimates (BE) for total Direct and Indirect Tax Revenues for FY 2015-16 was Rs 14.45 Lakh Crore which was revised to Rs 14.55 Lakh Crore (RE). The actual collection (provisional) is Rs 14.60 Lakh Crore. The total collection has exceeded the RE and represents a growth of 17.6% compared to the last financial year.
The Indirect Tax revenue (provisional) collections stand at Rs 7.11 Lakh Crore and has exceeded the BE and RE by Rs 65,618 Crore and Rs 9,885 Crore respectively. This represents a robust growth of 31.1% over revenue receipts in 2014-15.
The Direct Tax revenue collections (prov.) stand at Rs 7.48 Lakh crore which is only slightly lower than the RE of Rs 7.52 Lakh Crore. This represents a growth of 7.61% over the receipts in 2014-15.

· Education details of candidates: 231 (44%) candidates have declared their education qualification between 5th standard and 12th standard, while278 (53%) candidates have declared having an educational qualification ofgraduate or above. 2 candidates have declared themselves to be Illiterate and 1candidate has simply declared himself as a literate.
· Age details of candidates: 334 (64%) candidates have declared their age to be between 25 and 50 yearswhile 185 (35%) candidates have declared their age to be between 51 and 80 years. While 1 candidate has disclosed to be older than 80 years of age, 3 candidates have not disclosed their age details.
· Gender details of candidates: 48 (9%) female candidates are contestingin Second Phase of the Assam assembly election this year.

INDIAN COAST GUARD UNDERTAKES MEDICAL EVACUATION OFF MUMBAI..
1. In yet another life saving mission. Indian Coast Guard undertook medical evacuation in the dark hours from an SCI ship MV Goa off Mumbai at. 0300 Hrs.
- The Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre, MRCC Mumbai received a telephonic message at 1927 hrs on April 06, 2016 from the master of the SCI vessel MV Goa stating immediate medical evacuation of Binood Kumar who was profusely bleeding from ear and hand with first degree burn on right wrist with blisters as he got struck in pantry bulkhead. 24 years old Binood Kumar is fourth engineer of the Merchant Vessel. The vessel was about 22 NM (Approximately 40 kms) North West of Mumbai.
- Considering the patient’s condition, the mission was undertaken in shortest possible time by diverting the Indian Coast Guard ship, Agrim, which was on patrol off Mumbai, to provide assistance to the wounded person. ICGS Agrim, a Coast Guard patrol vessel reached MV Goa in the dark hours and after examining the patient, evacuated him from MV to the ICG Ship. The patient was brought to Mumbai harbour and was handed over to the civil boat Arbas at about 0240 AM todate 07 April for hospitalisation. MRCC Mumbai coordinated the mission, giving update to the Ship as well as arrangements ashore through the Ship’s agents.
- The patient was later transferred to the Shah clinic, marine lines for further medical care and his condition is now stable.
LFC-DSK Academy announce trial dates
7th April 2016 – Pune, India – Liverpool FC International Academy – DSK Shivajians is delighted to announce the trials to form the 2016-17 squad at the Academy.
The trials will be held on 16th and 17th April 2016 at the DSK Dream City Football Fields, Pune and will be open to the Under 18 age group i.e. players born on or between 1st January, 1999 to 31st December, 2001. Shortlisted players will be informed about the result by 29th April 2016.
The players appearing for the trials will have to fill up a disclosure form at the venue, following which they will be allocated batches to showcase their football skills. The trials consist of various physical drills, which are followed by small-sided football matches.
Players can also register online at www.lfc-dskacademy.co.in. The registration desk for the walk-ins will open at 8:30am at the venue.
The Liverpool FC International Football Academy – DSK Shivajians, formed in June 2014, provides a platform for promising football talent to perform at the top-most level under the guidance of technical staff from the Premier League club, Liverpool FC.
The trials are an opportunity for budding footballers from across the country to showcase their talent in front of the coaches from Liverpool FC. If shortlisted, the players get an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to become a part of the state-of-the-art Liverpool FC International Academy – DSK Shivajians.
Over the past two years, more than 3000 players have appeared for the trials from across the country. Last year alone saw more than 1200 players appearing for the trials in Pune and Goa.
