Australian delegation from
the state of Victoria visits Gujarat
- Two MOU signed in the presence of Chief Secretary Mr Varesh Sinha and HE Mr Patrick Suckling
- Kangan Institute, Victoria entered in to an agreement with Industries Commisionerate (GOG) for skilling in automotive sector.
- Ecotech Pvt Ltd and Uniphos Envirotronic Pvt Ltd, signed an MOU to enter into a Joint Venture to manufacture air quality monitoring equipment.

13, 2013, Gandhinagar: Taking forward the
successful visit of the Australian delegation in the recently concluded Vibrant
Gujarat Summit 2013, HE Mr Patrick Suckling visited Gujarat with a delegation
of 11 members. The delegation visit ended with signing of Two MOU’s in the
presence of Mr Varesh Sinha, Chief Secretary, Government of Gujarat and HE Mr
Patrick Suckling, Australian High Commissioner to India.
An MOU was signed between Mr Ray Grifiths,
CEO, Kangan Institute, Victoria, Australia and Industries Commisionarate Mr
Kamal Dayani, Government of Gujarat to promote skilling in automotive sector. In
order to facilitate the partnership, government of Gujarat will help Kangan
Institute in obtaining necessary permissions and approvals as per the
prevailing rules and regulations of the state Government. The board of Kangan
institute will jointly work with partners such as Maruti Suzuki, Ford Motors,
GMDC and IIT Gandhinagar under the umbrella of International Automotive Centre
of Excellence (i-ACE) to promote skilling of automotive sector.
The MOU will provide the framework within
which detailed proposals for programs for establishment of International
Automotive Centre of Excellence, Skills Development , Education, Research,
Training and interaction between the parties would be jointly considered on the
basis of reciprocity and mutual benefit.
