I am in Medinipur today to participate in the prize distribution ceremony of “Jangalmahal Cup”, the annual sporting event of the local youth of Paschim Medinipur, Bankura, Purulia and Birbhum districts, organized by our government.
Thousands and thousands of my brothers and sisters representing 2300 clubs of 4 districts participated in the event. Beautiful cultural shows were presented on the occasion.
I also flagged off the second “Jangalmahal Utsav”, marking 5-days of festivity in the area to boost local culture, traditions and performing arts.
Jangalmahal is happy, I am happy.
On this occasion, two Super-speciality hospitals at Onda and Chhatna in Bankura and a bouquet of health facilities were also inaugurated today.
My best wishes to everyone.

The playful restaurant concept, which tips a hat to refined, elegant dining with a menu rooted in inventiveness and approachability, comes to the artsy Wynwood neighborhood courtesy of Chef/Owner Brian Nasajon and Bar Manager/Owner Ben Potts. GLASS & VINE TO OPEN IN PEACOCK PARK, COCONUT GROVE – Grove Bay Hospitality Group and star chef Giorgio Rapicavoli will unveil their hotly-anticipated Glass & Vine restaurant in Coconut Grove’s iconic Peacock Park in late January 2016. Helmed by Rapicavoli, an acclaimed culinary talent, a Food Network Chopped champion, FORBES 30 Under 30 list-maker and a James Beard Award semi-finalist, he is designing both the menu and cocktail program. Glass & Vine will be a garden oasis by the bay and the first step in what Grove Bay Hospitality sees as a culinary and retail revolution in Coconut Grove. Glass & Vine is the freshman project that will spearhead Grove Bay Hospitality Group’s larger vision for Coconut Grove. In 2013, Grove Bay was awarded a 50-year lease with the City of Miami, for a 7-acre property along the water’s edge, to be named The Harbour. The ambitious neighborhood project will include two upscale chef driven restaurants and a casual outdoor restaurant featuring an entertainment area; an expansive and elevated indoor/outdoor event space overlooking the bay; a marina with 400 boat slips; an inviting bay walk with new floating docks and finger piers; numerous retail shops geared to serve the marine community and local neighborhood needs and a public mini-park.  Located in the old Coconut Grove Library space in the middle of Peacock Park, the menu will mirror the restaurant’s physical simplicity, clarity, and alignment with nature. Crafted by Rapicavoli, the menu will be a marriage of simple and crisp flavors infused with his creative techniques. For more information, visitwww.GlassandVine.com.

ABOUT THE EVENT
India and Indonesia share a multitude of similarities, with the two Asian giants elevating their bilateral relationship to the level of strategic partnership in 2005. They are connected by ties of trade, education, tourism and people-to-people exchanges and are natural partners for each other in various international fora. The rise of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), of which Indonesia is a key player, as an economic power; China’s rising assertiveness and the resulting uneasy power balance in the region; the global economy slowdown that forces emerging countries to look for new markets; as well as India’s “Look East” policy make it imperative to re-examine the relationship to ensure that it reaches its full potential. There is a need to deepen the engagement between India and Indonesia from an economic, strategic and cultural perspective.
In the book “Masala Bumbu: Enhancing the India-Indonesia Partnership”, Ambassador Gurjit Singh, along with a host of prominent contributors from India and Indonesia, scrutinize these ties from an extensive range of angles such as economic cooperation and the consumer class, security and non-traditional threats, democracy, culture, media, education and corporate social responsibilities — taking onboard perspectives from both sides. The Book Discussion will shed new light on ways to enhance the mutually beneficial relationship between India and Indonesia.
