Subodh said that two delegates discussed in details of teaming joint ventures particularly in the field of food processing sector and an MOU could be signed in this regard when France President Nicolas Sarkozy visits New Delhi in the first week of December this year.

'There are around 600 French companies in India but not enough in the food processing sector,' he said.'France is a leader in the processed food market. Their expertise and investments will greatly help boost the Indian food processing sector which has immense potential,' he said.

Adding further that the two sides discussed cooperation in the areas of skill upgradation, supply chain management and investment in infrastructure, Sahai said: 'This will help enhance food security, post-harvest management and food processing.'
