LODI – THE GARDEN RESTAURANT PRESENTS KENDRAKA
New Delhi: New Delhi:- Touted as Delhi’s favorite alfresco dining, Lodi – the Garden restaurant will be hosting, Kendraka, an Indo jazz band from Kolkata.
Kendraka will perform on Friday, 14th June 2013, 8:00 pm onwards
Kendraka - Indo-Jazz Trio - Kendraka is an up-and-coming contemporary Indian band from Kolkata whose sound is characterised by emotional intensity, the dynamic use of space, and the interplay between layered textures created by guitar, bass and drums. An outstanding live band, Kendraka's music is a synthesis of two main areas of interest - Indian classical (Hindustani and Carnatic) and jazz. Last year, Kendraka toured Slovenia, Croatia and Switzerland. This year, following the release of our second album, the 'Candy Album', we completed two tours of India (in February/March and May) and a residency at the premier jazz club of Malaysia, No Black Tie, in June.
