15.12.2011New Delhi:Sangeet Natak Akademi the National Academy of Music,Dance and
Drama-Feroz Shah Road .inform the media-The Executive Board and the General
Council of Sangeet Natak Akademi, in their meetings held this week in New Delhi,
accepted the resignation of Jayant Kastuar from the post of Secretary, Sangeet Natak
Akademi.Mr Kastuar,Samson. an eminent disciple of
the late Pt Durga Lal of Jaipur Gharana of Kathak, cited as reason his wish to
pursue academic and artistic interest more seriously.
This issues with the approval of
Chairman, Sangeet Natak Akademi, Ms Leel Samson.
The House placed on records its
gratitude and appreciation of Jayant kastuar’s contributions for twenty seven
years, last twelve of which were as Secretary of the Akademi, towards the
building of the national apex cultural body.The House also invited Shri Kastuar
to continue in the Sangeet Natak Akademi as member of the General Council and
Executive Board, which he has accepted.
