3rd May, 2016 DSK Dream City, Pune – DSK Shivajians ‘A’ got back to winning ways by thumping Indrayani FC (Dehu Road) 6-1 and in the process registered their seventh win in the PDFA Super Division League at the DSK Dream City, Football Fields.

Having lost their previous encounter, DSK Shivajians ‘A’ did well to bounce back with a solid performance that was aided by Astle Pereira’s four-goal effort (21st, 70th, 81st & 84th minute). Skipper Riyan Yadgiri, got back his goal scoring touch, and struck twice in the first half (17th & 26th minute).

DSK Shivajians ‘A’, compared to the last game, look sharp from the kick off and did well to move the ball around with pace and intent into the opponent’s half.

Riyan put DSK Shivajians ‘A’ one-up with 17 minutes logged on the clock. A powerful finish from 18-yards out looked easy with the ball ended up in the bottom right corner. Four minutes later, Astle got himself on the scorers’ list by easily tapping in Prathamesh Singh’s cross. Riyan, then, made it 3-0 with yet another clinical finish.

At the breather, DSK Shivajians ‘A’ led Indrayani FC 3-0.

On resumption, Indrayani FC pulled one back through Rajendra Bahadur (51st minute). The goal was a wake-up for DSK Shivajians ‘A’ as they were slow to start of proceedings in the second session.

However, it did not take long for the host’s to knock in the fourth goal after Astle benefitted from a goal-keeping error. The goal resulted after Janak Kudmal’s attempt was deflected away by the ‘keeper straight into the path of Astle who tapped in.

The visitors put on a brave fight to hold off DSK Shivajians ‘A’, however their attempt was temporary. In the 81st minute, DSK Shivajians ‘A’ added their fifth goal. Mohammed Salah, from the left flank, did well to find Astle with a cross which was put away with ease.

Having netted a hat-trick, Astle added another (84th minute) after Jaydeep Parnakar turned provider from the right.
