The Shri Ram Ananta Aspen Leadership School Announces Call for Applications for ‘Aspen Junior Fellows 2016’ All eligible candidates are encouraged to apply ​
Ananta Aspen Centre and The Shri Ram School are pleased to announce the fifth edition of our 2-week residential programme for students of grades 9-12. The last class saw an enthusiastic participation from 28 different schools from 10 cities around the country. Some of our participants were from Ajmer, Ballarpur, Chandigarh, Gurgaon, Gwalior, Mumbai, New Delhi, Noida, Raipur and Rudrapur. The programme provides the students with vital skills and awareness to become leaders of tomorrow, enlightened with the desire to move from thought to action. The program will take place at Camp Panther, Shivpuri, 16 kms ahead of Rishikesh, on the banks of the Ganges, from 15th May to 28th May 2016. The programme will use a blend of Socratic dialogue, experiential learning, motivational lectures, adventure sports, social work commitment, yoga and other activities. Although leadership is a continuous process- non-linear and indiscrete- we have broken it down into steps to make it exciting, engaging and evocative to all senses of young adults. It provides an opportunity to students for all-round development and exposure to a diverse learning environment which will be of immense help in shaping their future. 1. Application Process ​ To be eligible for TSALS 2016: •   The student should be a moderate to high performer in academics and extra-curricular activities •   An overall performer & team player, ready for challenges •   Should have a good command over written and spoken English To be considered for the program, applicants must submit a complete application, which includes: •    A filled up form along with the photograph. The form can be filled online here:http://www.anantaaspencentre.in/shri_school.aspx •    Their Marksheets and certificates for any extracurricular activity they have participated in •    Letter of Recommendation from a teacher who has taught them in the last two years. Recommendation letters should be no longer than 500 words. Letters should address attributes such as the candidate’s experience, intellectual abilities, leadership capacity and potential. Please do not submit the online form until you are ready to upload a scanned copy of your photograph, marksheets and certificates. 2. Important Dates An Opening Ceremony will take place on 15th May, 2016 at The Shri Ram School, Aravali. The Closing Ceremony will take place on 28th May, 2016 at The Shri Ram School, Aravali. Parents are invited for both the ceremonies, especially the Closing Ceremony where the fellows will all perform. 3. Deadline For the Early Bird, the fees is Rs.98,000/- and all application formalities must be completed by 5 PM on 29th February, 2016.  From 1st March, 2016, the fees will be Rs.1,05,000/-.
