MIGRATION: INTER-MINISTERIAL TASK FORCE
The Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation (HUPA) has announced the setting up an inter-ministerial taskforce to study the impact of migration on housing, infrastructure and livelihoods in India. UNESCO considers it as an essential step to develop a coherent National Policy Framework on Internal Migration, based on social inclusion and poverty eradication. More: http://bit.ly/1VpkcKQ 

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (SDGs)
The 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda was adopted by world leaders at the UN Sustainable Development Summit (New York, 25-27 Sept) with 17 SDGs and 169 specific targets, aimed at ending poverty, reducing inequalities and protecting the environment. The inclusion of migrants, migration and mobility in the new Agenda is a clear step forward from the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). More: http://bit.ly/1PFegq6http://bit.ly/1MJ5UgE

TOWARDS HABITAT III (2016)
The Asia-Pacific Urban Youth Assembly (APUFY) - an official side event of the 6th Asia-Pacific Urban Forum (APUF-6) - will take place in Jakarta, Indonesia from 17-18 October 2015. The APUFY will provide a regional platform for Asia-Pacific’s youth to articulate urban issues and solutions impacting their lives and communities, in preparation of the Asia-Pacific High Level Prep Meeting (Jakarta, 21-22 Oct 2015) for the 3rd UN Conference on Human Settlements(Habitat III, Quito, 17-20 Oct 2016). More: http://apufy.org/
