US President Barack Obama has declared an end to the country's financial crisis. In his annual State of the Union address to Congress, he said that the US had turned a page after the worst recession since the Depression.


The US President pledged economic policies to benefit all Americans. He called for Congress to close tax loopholes for the richest Americans. He said that he will veto any Bill which threatens his administration's achievements on health insurance, financial regulation or immigration.

On foreign policy, Obama urged Congress to pass a resolution that authorises the use of force against the militant group, Islamic State. He stressed his ongoing commitment to fight extremist groups.

The Budget Session of Parliament will start from the 23rd of next month and the first part of the session will continue up to the 20th of March. Sources said in New Delhi that the second part of the session will take place from the 20th of April till the 8th of May. The Union Budget will be presented on the 28th of February. The decision was taken during a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affair headed by Home Minister Rajnath Singh.
