‘Climate and Energy:
How Science and Technology can help us develop sustainably’

India and many other developing countries face urgent developmental imperatives while also facing sustainability challenges that are no less urgent.  While it is clear that science and technology (S&T) can play a role in addressing these challenges, a key question is how to best leverage it do so?  How could science and technology activities be organized - domestically and internationally - for greater effectiveness?  Using the case of climate and energy, this talk will present some thoughts on this issue as well as discuss some current emerging approaches.
