Pin High and Pin High Aces make it to the cavalry round

5th Oct. 2012, Bangalore: Pin High Aces, who was second on day one and Pin High, who was second yesterday, made it to the cavalry round at the Eagleton Golf Resort today in 3rd edition of Touche Golf League. Pin High shot 512 for the two days total of 1051 while Pin High Aces reduced their day one score by 21 shots to come up with 504 for the two days total of 1030 in the infantry round of South Zone.

Angad Luthra of Pin High had an amazing individual score of 81 while Nikhil Gurjer shot 82 to register one of the career best score. Pin High Aces was nowhere in the picture to top the leader borad, but a spectacular 74 by Manik Bahri saw them through. Shyam Ramakrishna of Pin High Aces also fired a fabulous 80 to help his team qualify.

Overnight leader Green Warriors slipped to the second place after making 529 for the two days total of 1063 to face the disappointment of not stepping into the semi-finals.   

Rathan Kumar, MD, Touche Golf Sports, says, “It was unbelievable to have 40 gangs registered in Bangalore to participate that was the reason we had to split them into two citadels and announce two gangs as qualifiers for the cavalry round. We are hoping to repeat the same format in Kolkata as well.
