Mumbai Marauders – Sworde Horde takes the lead on day one of TGL, West Zone

30th October, Bombay: Mumbai Marrauders – Sworde Horde gang fired a scintillating 446 as a total nett score on day one of Touche Golf Leauge, west zone infantry round at Willingdon Sports Club today. Willy Warriors, who were crowned as the best gang of India last year after winning the final round in Sri Lanka, shot a team total of 459 to finish the day as second while Trigger Happy Tigers scored 469 to take the third place.  Two shots behind were the Western Warriors with fourth position while Bush Whackers were three shots further down at 474 at sixth.

Tarun Bali, who was representing the leading gang, had the lowest score amongst 8 of them as he returned with a fabulous scorecard of four-over 69 at Par-65 course while the second best score was five-over 70 by his colleague Ajay Patel.  Willy Warriors didn’t see many impressive cards as Anuradha Yusuf, the only lady player in the gang and couple of other talented players could not make the appearance.
Out of 15 Gangs who played today, 7 missed the cut and 8 will vie against each other tomorrow at Willingdon GC which is also a shortest championship course in Bombay. Second day's leader will get the ticket to the Cavalry round which will happen in Bangalore next week.
