Sub:     Executive Development Program on “Projects Risk Management”

Greetings,

         As you are aware, Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC), established by the Planning Commission, Govt. of India and the Construction Industry with unrelenting support from its Member organizations, State Govt Dept, PSUs, and other concerned agencies has made tremendous strides in organizing the construction sector in the country.

As part of our endeavours to intensify training initiatives we are organizing specialized training programs for the working professionals to update their knowledge in their respective fields. The next program will be focusing upon the very important issue of “Projects Risk Management”.  

The timely and cost efficient execution of projects have a number of inherent risk as in any business endeavor. Looking at magnitude of the challenges involved, CIDC has designed this program to construction related risk.    

       This one day training shall have discussions the concepts of Projects Risk Management.  The topics to be covered include:

•     Risk Management for Construction projects and Risk Management with respect to each stage

       of the construction project

•     Risk Management Planning

•     Risk Identification, Assessment and Response Planning

•     Risk Monitoring and Control

Training Pedagogy: Training would be conducted through discussion of theoretical concepts, case studies and related exercises to be done by the participants. After the training the participants shall be conversant with the theoretical concepts of Risk management, organization structure required for it and the techniques that they can apply on the projects.

Who should attend: Middle level executives of organizations associated with construction projects like Client organizations, Project Management consultancy organizations and Contracting organizations.

Course Director:  

Dr. Vanita Ahuja is an Architect and has done M.Tech in Construction Management from IIT Delhi and PhD in construction Management from Australia.
