Indian firm launches World’s most affordable tablet PC in Dubai.An Indian firm has launched what it calls the World’s most affordable tablet personal computer in Dubai. Simmtronics unveiled its multi touch X Pad series worth $100. The CMD. Inderjeet Sabarwal told a press conference in Dubai that the target is to increase its market share in the Middle East over the next five years.

The Tablet Personal Computer market in Middle East is abuzz with action. Big players like Apple and Samsung are trying to upstage each other in the high end segment but they falter on account of affordability. In order to tap this segment , Simmtronics India launched its multi touch X Pad series in 7,9,10 and 11 inch models in Dubai.The most affordable 7 inch model costs around $100.

It has 3G Connectivity, One Giga Hertz CPU and 4 GB of internal and flash drive memory for data storage. The High Definition display and Wi-Fi enabled model runs on Google's Android 4 operating system. The tablet offers maximum connectivity to the internet, printers, high density TV or any number of external devices like USB and others for easy access to email, movies, video, music and photos.

The XPad's 7-inch model is about $30 more expensive than the commercial version of the Aakash tablet PC in India, which has been branded as the world's cheapest tab.
