Election Camapaign in Greece reach  its crescendo,the Greek parties campaign hard for June 17 electionFormer Greek ruling party which supports austerity measures is competing fiercely with the opposition to win votes one week before a new election.
Campaign posters can be seen everywhere in Athens. Candidates are making speeches to convey their messages.The former ruling New Democratic Party is stressing that austerity policies must be implemented if the country wants to remain in the eurozone.
The largest opposition Coalition of the Radical Left, or Syriza, maintains that Greece can stay in the eurozone even if it scraps its promises to carry out austerity measures.
The latest poll says the 2 parties are in a neck and neck contest.Greece has received bailout money twice from the European Union on the condition that it increases taxes and cuts pension payments.No parties won a majority in last month’s election.
