FICCI Annual Business Mission to USA in April, 2012
April 23rd - 28th 2012, Baltimore/Annapolis/Washington DC, San Fransisco

I am delighted to inform you that FICCI President Mr. R.V. Kanoria will be leading a CEOs delegation to the United States to participate in a series of dialogues/events and networking opportunities with CEOs of US companies, investors, and policy makers from 23rd April, 2012 onwards.  The goal of the Mission is to promote business, partnership and investment between the US and India. Some of the critical areas for the mission will be in the areas of Clean/Renewable Energy, Digital Media, Biotechnology, Information Technology and Innovation. It will bring together Investors, Innovators, politicians, and business leaders– all of whom are invested in the U.S- India partnership and growth story.
This opening event for the delegation will provide insights to the existing relations between the two sides and deliberating on the future strategies towards enhancing our collaboration in the above mentioned sectors.

Baltimore/Annapolis/Washington DC
The official programme starts on 23rd evening in Baltimore, Maryland with a networking reception with some top companies in Maryland hosted by the Department of Business & Economic Development, Maryland..
The official program on the 24th and 25th of April will include dialogues and B2Bs with different business groups and site visits.
For the renewable energy group, on the 25th of April, FICCI in partnership with TERI and Yale will be organising the India-US Energy Summit. One of the most interesting aspects of this dialogue will be a CEO Forum conducted by Jeff Sonnenfeld from Yale Business School on the 25th morning. The companies who will not wish to attend the Energy Summit will have possibilities of a business dialogue or site visits in the Maryland/Washington DC area.

San Fransisco
To capitalize on the opportunities afforded by the bilateral relationship between the two economies, FICCI and USIBC for the first time will host the 1st Annual US India Business Summit  in the west coast on 26th 27th & 28th April, 2012. The theme of this year’s Summit is "Building Bridges through collaboration on Technology & Innovation"
The programme will start on the 26th with a B2B event with investors, venture capitalists and other sector related people followed by an evening reception with addresses by Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook) or Larry Page (Google).
During the summit on the 27th April, Vilasrao Deshmukh, Minister, S&T and  Jerry Brown, Governor of California would be addressing us along with other prominent speakers from Indian & the US Industry.
Other than that site visits to some world renowned companies on the 28th of April, interactions have been organized with TiE Indus Entrepreneurs and the Wadhwani Foundation.
In view of the importance of the visit, I invite you to join this delegation. In case you are already committed to some other assignment, we would be grateful if you could nominate a senior executive from your organization to be a part of this delegation.

To defray a part of the expenses, a delegation fee of Rs. 40,000/- (+ service tax @ 10.3% = Rs 44,120/-) per person is being charged. The participants will have to bear their own travel, stay & local transport expenses.
