Nalini and Smriti share lead in 11th leg of Hero

Kolkata, Feb 21: Smriti Mehra and Nalini Singh Siwach were locked
in an exciting clash as the two favourites both carded two-over 72 each on the
opening day of the 11th Leg of the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour on
Tuesday.
The duo which is No. 1 and 2 on the Order of Merit, were four
shots clear of Shraddhanjali Singh, who carded 76 and behind them were Ankita
Tiwana and Vandana Aggarwal, who scored 77 and were tied fourth.
Smriti recovered from a bogey-bogey start with two birdies
on the sixth and 13th. She had two other bogeys on eighth and 14th.
Nalini had just two bogeys on fourth and 17th and no birdies.
Nalini who won tenth leg is about Rs. 13,000 behind Smriti.
Sharmila Nicollet, who is missing this week is third on the money list, having
been overtaken by Nalini in previous event. Neha Tripathi and Saaniya Sharma
are fourth and fifth.
This is the 11th leg of the 15-leg Tour.
