Court rejects home minister prosecution bid

Janata Party chief Subramanian Swamy on Saturday said he will move the higher Court within a month to challenge a Delhi court's order rejecting his plea as he has a "very, very strong case".

Swamy describe Special Central Bureau of Investigation Judge O P Saini as a "good man", but said the "order is bad" and he was surprised by it. "I will appeal against this order in Supreme Court. The order is bad because the Judge has in his order agreed that Chidambaram and A Raja (former telecom minister) had jointly decided to follow the 2001 policy of first-come first-serve for selling spectrum," he told reporters hours after the judgment.

The verdict consist of  64 page statement Judge said plea "to summon Chidambaram as an accused is dismissed." Special Judge O.P. Saini  explained bit of  matter here and there does not constitute the scam.Kapil said opposition must apologized for scathing attacks on Chidambaram.

Subramanian Swamy, who brought the case against Chidambaram, had alleged the politician could have intervened to avert the telecom scandal which occurred in 2008 when he was finance minister.
