India's proposed anti-corruption ombudsman-in-peril

Anna and the government are locked horn in issue about venue, of crowd and time of the fast on number supporters for the social activist at the Tihar Jail,civil society activist Kiran Bedi said.Government has agreed to release Anna Hazare after a day's detainment Tuesday evening, but the social activist refused to leave the Tihar Jail until the government allows him unconditional fast for stronger Lokpal Bill.As more more people taking to the streets across the country in support of Anna Hazare, Delhi Police presently discussing with Anna's team on relaxing restrictions on the number of dates and participants of the fast.

When government's version of the draft bill are now under discussion in parliament's standing committee are considered too weak,thus Anna Hazare declared to start hunger strike again from August 16.

Chief Minister of UP,Mayawati said in statement supporting Anna Hazare's crusade against corruption.
