Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs meet on-Anna Tuesday night

Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs (CCPA)  on Tuesday night discussed threadbare the issues that came up during the meeting between government and Anna Hazare team and the strategy to be adopted at all-party meet on Wednesday.

A meeting of the Congress Core Group, the party's highest policy-making body, followed the CCPA at the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's residence.

The Prime Minister convened the emergency CCPA meeting soon after Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee held three-hour long discussions with Hazare's key aides on the Lokpal issue.

Mukherjee apprised the CCPA about the deliberations he had with Team Hazare and the meeting discussed the pros and cons of the demands put forth by the civil society.
