Russian team won the 7th gold medal at the 2011 World Aquatics Championships in Shanghai.
Russia scored 98.620 points to beat China, which finished with 96.580. Spain won the bronze with 96.090 points.This year Russia broke the record at swimming championships since no country has ever won seven gold medals at the championship before.The winners' plane will land at Moscow's Sheremetyevo airport on July 24;
Russia's Natalya Ishchenko has won the gold medal in the Technical Solo synchronized swimming event, at the 2011 Swimming World Championships in Shanghai, China."Basically I am pleased with my performance but it is too early to relax," Ishchenko said, adding that there were still a lot of competition days left.
Ishchenko finished first with 98.300 points. Huang Xuechen of China was second with 96.500 and Andrea Fuentes of Spain won the bronze with 95.300.
Ishchenko became the world's first-ever eleven-time world champion in synchronized swimming.
