Janakpuri Club Forum meeting held on May 8, 2011 in the club Premises.
The following key issues were discussed and debated at length:
Working of the existing club
members’ utter dissatisfaction its functioning,
quality of food served in the club,
lack of proper hygiene and cleanliness,
poor service of the waiters,
Dhaba look of the club
Most of the members expressed unhappiness over the slow pace of construction despite ample funds with the club. Most members expressed their overwhelming desire that the club should become operative at the earliest. They emphasized that if due to some reasons the entire building could not be made operative immediately, at least the ground floor and parking space should be made available for the members’ use, and the two lawns should be developed and maintained well where members could enjoy the pleasures and dignity of a club and not feel ashamed in inviting their friends and well wishers. It was agreed that a letter signed by members should be submitted to the management committee in this regard .
The Forum should be used as a pressure group to make the present management respond to the aspirations and needs of all the members.
Forum should have a definite and well planned action plan to achieve its goals.
Many members felt that once the club begins to function from its own location, there is a possibility of raising funds from those who have yet to pay their balance share. This may also help attract new members and thereby generate fresh income for developmental plans of the club.
In view of the pathetic condition and working of the club many new members regretted having become members of the club. Some did not want to pay the balance dues till they saw a substantial progress in the construction of the building and improvement in the functioning of the club
Most of the members were of the view that President & General Secretary should be invited to attend the Forums next meeting so that members can have face to face interaction with them.
Five member representatives of the Forum should be present in all meetings of the Management Committee of the club to share the views of the Forum with the management.
No member should be an office bearer for more than two consecutive terms of two years each.
The expenses of the meeting will be borne collectively by the contributions made by the members of the Forum. Members are free to contribute any amount towards the common fund of the Forum.
It was suggested that a website of the Forum should be launched where all decisions and suggestions of the members could be made available to all members.
Janakpuri Club is thirty year old institution and is an extended family for members in pain and prosperity thus there is an urgent attention to its managing committee to take up the issue of club premises to be erected on priority so that members enjoy the togetherness and unity in more magnificent and enjoy the moments of their life.JPC form meet on 7 May 2011 Is an effort to bring to the attention the urgency of the club to gear up the construction of club building which has been temporarily suspended from last ten months on one pretext or the other. Purpose of the meeting is to give the managing committe awakening call to retore good will of the club:Suggestion came through the meeting are rational and Surinder said Shalimar Bagh club too got land when our club got the land but they were function with compete amenities we still lack basic facilities:

Quality of food served should be properly supervised for its hygienic quality

We should have definite action plan to achieve our goal and objectives.
