Allahabad Bank, a Premier Nationalized Bank of the country currently celebrating 147th year of its dedicated service to the nation, has opened its 2416th branches on 12.05.2011. The Branch was inaugurated by Sh Vipul Singla, Zonal Head, New Delhi.

The inauguration programme was attended by a large gathering belonging to various strata of the society. The branch is under the Bank’s New Delhi Zonal Office. New Delhi Zonal Office is


currently having 80 Branches, all on CBS ambit. The Total Business of New Delhi Zone surged to Rs. 25493 Crore with Deposits of Rs. 11393 Crore and Advances of Rs. 14103 Crore as on 31.03.2011.

Shri Vipul Singla, Zonal Head, while inaugurating Jagatpur Branch, said that Allahabad Bank, one of the leading nationalized Banks of the country, has good presence in rural and semi urban areas and opening of new branches in rural and un-banked areas has been on priority of the bank. He also informed that recently Allahabad Bank has opened two rural branches in Delhi under the Financial Inclusion Plan of Government of India. He also said that Allahabad Bank is offering all the latest e-products viz., ATM card, e-banking and mobile banking to its customers for seamless banking operations.

Shri P.K. Sinha, Assistant General Manager in his address said that the new Branch which has opened on CBS platform from the first day of commencement of operation, will cater to the people of the adjoining areas for their long-felt daily banking needs.
