Ambassador of Slovenia - Croatia - Tourist Road show in India today spoke on the subject of tourism at Hotel Le Meridein New Delhi encouraging the two way tourist between India and Balkans Mediterranean countries.Slovenian and Croatian tourist organization are promoting their countries' tourism sector in India's Mumbai and New Delhi today with a joint project dubbed "Experience Croatia, Feel Slovenia", the Slovenian Tourist Board (STO) said on Tuesday.
Croatian National Tourist Board along with Slovenian Tourist Board,twenty member delegation are on a joint two city road show in India. Their first road show was conducted in Mumbai yesterday and in New Delhi today where the delegation comprising of destination management companies, tour operators, hotels, resorts and attractions showcased their product offerings and interacted with members of the local
travel trade who attended in good numbers. The road show in Delhi held today.
Croatian National Tourist Board is looking at promoting nature, culture and history, gastronomy, and UNESCO listed sites among Indian customers. “This is the first time we are conducting a road show in the Indian market and the response we have received is very good. We are promoting Dubrovnik, Zagreb, and Dalmatia Islands in the Indian market. India along with China and Korea are our emerging source markets,” said Niko Bulic, Director, Croatian National Tourist Board. For the Indian market, the tourist board is looking at establishing strong relationship with the trade and creating destination awareness through FAM trips. A concrete strategy post the FAM tours with inputs from Indian trade experts will be chalked out for the Indian market.
Slovenia is promoted by Slovenian Tourist Board as a unique destination and destination that can be clubbed with other destinations. Croatia or Austria as a twin destination. Foring trio country tours one can travel to Slovenia – Austria and Switzerland or Slovenia – Austria and Italy. The Slovenia, the tourist board here to promote the capital city of Ljubljana, Bled, Postojna Caves, Julian Alps etc in the Indian market. “The destination has something to offer during both summer and winter holidays for Indian touring community . Travelers can also opt for day trips to Venice, Italy and come back to Ljubljana. India is definitely one of the emerging markets for us and we will look at promoting the destination primarily through the trade channel,” said Maja Pak, Acting Director, Slovenian Tourist Board.
